Vertex Solutions and RYAN AEROSPACE Join Forces Again to Showcase Industry-Leading Innovations at I/ITSEC 2024
NICEVILLE, FL AND GOLD COAST, AUSTRALIA, November 07, 2024 – Vertex Solutions, a Woman-Owned Small Business recognized for its excellence in systems integration and advanced learning technology, and RYAN AEROSPACE (Australia), a global leader in the design and manufacturing of cutting-edge helicopter and fast jet flight simulation products, are thrilled to announce their joint exhibit at I/ITSEC 2024. The tradeshow, running from December 2-5 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL, stands as the premier event in the training and simulation industry, attracting leaders and innovators from around the world.
New this year, the Vertex Solutions and RYAN AEROSPACE booth will debut the first-ever eVTOL mixed reality (MR) flight simulator. The team will unveil the next generation Immersive Training Device (ITD) which is even more modular and reconfigurable than its predecessor with loads of new features and benefits to take advantage of mixed reality technologies. Other demos will include a showcase in master systems integration, robust courseware presentations, and the latest in product developments, offering attendees an exclusive, hands-on experience with cutting-edge XR training technologies.
Highlights of Vertex Solutions and RYAN AEROSPACE Exhibit Include:
- Advanced Courseware Development Demos: Vertex’s award-winning courseware team will present IMI Level IV Virtual Reality Maintenance Trainer for the CH-47 Lower Combining Transmission disassembly, Level III weapons assembly/disassembly application, and recent Level I/II project examples.
- Vertex Digital Backbone: At the core of every device is the software integration layer connecting diverse hardware and software for cohesive, mission-ready solutions.
- Mixed Reality (MR) Training: Featuring the first eVTOL MR flight simulator, the TH-1H Reconfigurable Multi-Crew MR Flight Simulator, and a MR Apache helicopter trainer
- Multi-player scenario w/ Mission debrief: Apache and Blackhawk simulators operating in the same environment flying a pre-planned mission. With the data capture system, full after-action review is available at the completion of the mission for debrief.
- Fixed-wing ITDs, as seen supporting USAF Pilot Training Transformation (PTT)
- Integrated with the new Vertex Instructor Operator Station (IOS) and interactive training scenarios
- Instructor Operator Station (IOS): Our newly designed IOS enables real-time simulator interaction, player hosting, maneuver recognition, data collection, and analysis, marking the first step toward Vertex’s integrated training ecosystem.

Vertex team member David “Cowboy” Urban’s paper, “Beyond Illusions: Navigating VR Fidelity in Undergraduate Pilot Training – A 3-Year Data Analysis,” won Best Paper in Simulation and is 1 of 6 nominees for Best Overall Paper.
