High-Fidelity Training Doesn't Have to Be High-Cost Training

Vertex Solutions has developed thousands of photorealistic 3D models, 3D animations, and simulations for dozens of Government clients whose missions demand accurate, high-fidelity training, including the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE), the U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC), the U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE), the U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), and the Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office (CTTSO).

We use state-of-the-art hardware and software within our proven processes to efficiently produce models at the level of fidelity the training requires: from milimeter-accurate digital twins of complex weapons systems to more artistic treatments of avatars and characters.

Equipment Modeling

Vertex’s team of 3D artists has refined a reference-gathering process that allows us to efficiently capture the data needed to create millimeter-accurate 3D models. Additionally, our design staff is involved to ensure that models are broken down to the part and subpart level required for the animations and simulations being developed.

Character and Avatar Modeling

Vertex has developed countless 3D characters and avatars to support our serious games and simulations. Our team can optimize 3D assets for delivery on virtually any platform, from HTML to iOS & Android, and a range of game engines, such as Unity and Unreal.

Environment Modeling

To immerse students within our serious games, scenario-based training, and virtual practical exercises (PEs), our team creates lifelike spaces that match the job environment. Whether its a farm or city street, a training pool or the ocean floor, a traditional office building or the battlefield, our artists replicate the space down to accurate lighting, physics, and ambiant sounds.

Simulations

Vertex has leveraged our 3D assets to design and deliver serious games and simulations that have trained students on such diverse tasks and concepts as the use of weapons, the operation of four Stryker vehicles (RWS, MGS, LRAS, and ATGM), the internal operation of helicopters, and the collection and transport of biological samples. Our simulations are designed to meet each customer’s needs, and we are not tied to a single game engine or delivery platform.
