Training Development & Exercise Design

Using the time-tested ADDIE process, Vertex instructional designers and training developers are experts at developing and maintaining learning products and training materials IAW each Service’s doctrinal tactics, techniques, and procedures. We provide tactical-level scenarios, exercise control/support services, and immersive training environments to facilitate field training exercises (FTXs) and command post exercises (CPXs).

Instructor-Led Training (ILT)

Vertex provides instructors who possess the expertise and experience required for establishing and enhancing a learning environment to allow Service members to reach desired learning outcomes. Our instructors understand that each person learns differently and our approaches to ILT are unique and extraordinarily successful.

Our instructors are also experienced providing both virtual ILT (VILT) and blended ILT-VILT through the most widely used telecommunications platforms (such as Adobe Connect).

Doctrine & Concept Development

Vertex is committed to providing high-quality doctrine support across the Services. We closely coordinate with our Government customer to provide current and relevant doctrinal products. We follow the four-phase doctrine development process of Assess, Plan, Develop, and Publish/Implement.

Role Players

To date, Vertex has delivered more than 125,000 hours of role player support to more than 40 iterations of Security Force Assistance (SFA) training for both TRADOC and FORSCOM. Vertex currently delivers training in specific multiple COCOM OEs such as Afghanistan and Africa. Our team is equally adept at portraying a host of multicultural scenarios based on the Army’s DATE, and we maintain the ability to execute the OE in support of high-intensity or counterinsurgency operational requirements for the various MCoE functional courses. Our team’s extensive threat experience and immersive OE portrayals ensure we replicate a dynamic and complex operational environment with high-fidelity emulators that challenge U.S. Army forces preparing to deploy.

Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)

Through our staff of SMEs, Vertex provides full-spectrum analytical training support expertise, including feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis, reliability and maintainability forecasting, survey and analysis of feedback, and training analysis. Our staff includes a cross-section of retired senior Officers and NCOs who have served at Multi-National and Joint levels, as well as across the Joint Warfighting spectrum.

Our training analysts & developers are experts in US Army Training Circular, exercise design, operational environment & Army Learning, and the Decisive Action Training Environment (DATE) v3.0 for creating immersive training environments that challenge the learner.
